| The WSI Porometer 3G uses the well known liquid expulsion technique in which one side of wetted porous sample is subjected to a continually increasing gas pressure. The pores empty of liquid when the applied pressure exceeds the 'capillary pressure'. The capillary pressure is dependent upon the size of the pore, the wetting liquid and its interface properties. This plot shows the pressure on the sample and the flow rate of gas through the opened pores.
